The director of publications of the Union of Writers and Writers in Iraq, poet Omar Al-Saray, says, “Cultural work and book fairs are usually promoted as not places of sale of culture, It is the presence of a cultural activity accompanying the organizational effort in the presentation of the book, At the Iraq International Fair, and during its first and second days, we notice the escalation of a distinct cultural activity that parallels the existence of Arab, Iraqi and international houses.” The Saray pointed out during his speech to “Al-Mada”, “Cultural success was not limited to the opening of the exhibition and cultural events, It witnessed a solemn opening with wonderful literary names at the moment of cutting the opening ribbon.”

The spokesman for the Union of Writers and Writers focused on “the presence of a wonderful curriculum in future events during the days of the exhibition.” He pointed out that “these things would constitute a major cultural and national festival from the book fair.”

The cultural events accompanying the exhibition days did not only attract Iraqi publishers, There was even great interest from Arab publishing houses from all countries. Ismail Al-Taweel from Qatar’s Lusail House talks about his fascination with the success of the exhibition: “The organization of the exhibition was distinctive, as the halls were distributed according to the participating countries”, He pointed out that “the announcement of the exhibition made us think about participating and visiting Iraq, We were thrilled to see the exhibition in such splendor and excellence.” Long added in his speech to “range”, “There is no doubt that there are ongoing cultural events that are attended by the public at the moment of their announcement and the diversity of those coming to them.
