Since the first day of the opening of the Iraq International Book Fair, which is held by Al-Mada Foundation for Media, Culture and Arts, several book signing ceremonies have taken place in the different pavilions of the houses.
Especially in Iraqi publishing houses, there has been more than one signing ceremony and its schedule has not yet expired, as announcements continue that new writers will sign their publications.
This matter is of great importance in the hearts of those present, especially with their obtaining the gift and signature of the writer and their proximity to him, and the writer has a psychological impact as well by watching his readers happy to see him and get the latest authorship.
Yesterday, Zainab’s novel by Aref Al-Saadi was signed at the Dar Al-Rafidain pavilion, and this is his first journey in the world of the novel after the publication of several collections on the poetic side.
In Dar Sotour, writer Heba al-Jaragh signed her new book entitled “Hugs” the fantasy of amputated limbs, as well as the book The Swastika by Youssef Namir Ali.
And to Ashurbanipal, where the signature ceremonies continue inside his suite, and yesterday morning was full of attendees with the presence of the writer Asif Muhammad, who signed his book “Al-Amiriya Shelter” with the testimony of former senior Iraqi intelligence men, and Maryam Muhammad signed two publications, “The Ortuis Epic” and “The Table of Spirits” and Furqan Fouad signed the book “It happened in December”.
At the publications pavilion of the General Union of Writers and Writers in Iraq, Haitham Al-Tayeb signed his collection of short stories “The Great Door of Exile” and the poet Haider Nadir for his pristine book “Brown Salt”.
The spokesman for the General Union of Writers Omar Saray announced a signing ceremony next Friday for the poet Ajoud Mejbel for his new version “Al-Jarason”.
At the pavilion of the Sumerian Book House, Hajar Jamil signed her new book “Diary of a Virtual Woman”, cartoonist Khudair Al-Humairi a new book entitled “Infiltrated Drawings” also signed by him, and Drs. Hussein Al-Bawi and Dr. Haider Al-Tamimi had the book “Religion and State Policy in Mesopotamia”.
The academic Dr. Muayad Al Swint, within the House of Treasures of Knowledge, signed two books: “Lisanion” and “Sensors of Reception… Linguistic knowledge actualities”.
