Al-Kazemi added that “all civilizations and religions have stressed the importance of reading and its necessity in the sustainability of life, and the opening of the capital Baghdad for a book fair of such a large size is a distinctive achievement that we want to continue.”

Al-Kazemi pointed out that “culture is the key to the convergence of views between all, And a way to spread peace among all, This is the message of the Iraq Book Fair.”

The Prime Minister expressed his thanks to Al-Mada Foundation, in the person of its president, Fakhri Karim, for the great effort exerted in supporting Iraqi culture.

Al-Kazemi’s visit was not limited to welcoming the various publishing houses coming from several Arab and foreign countries. Rather, he looked at many publications and bought some of them, He expressed his admiration for the level of headlines, saying that “the exhibition is characterized by the participation of important publishing houses, cultural faces and prominent titles.”

In turn, The Director of the Iraq Book Fair, Ihab Al-Qaisi, praised In governmental and official cooperation with Al Mada Foundation for the success of organizing the exhibition and showing it in a distinctive and wonderful way, Whether in terms of facilitating the issuance of invitations to participating publishing houses, Or the high format that showed the exhibition in the best way.

As soon as the doors were opened to visitors, the seven exhibition halls were filled with attendees, The first waves of readers began to see the new titles.

The exhibition management allocated seven halls, One was dedicated to Iraqi publishing houses, And another for Egyptian, While the Syrians and Jordanians gathered in one hall, While Gulf and Lebanese publishing houses lined up along two halls dedicated to them, In addition to a hall for publishing houses from the Maghreb.

The exhibition management confirmed that the central hall will be allocated for seminars that will be organized throughout the days of the exhibition and continue at different times at the specified time to open the doors of the exhibition at 10 am and continue until 10 pm during the eleven days.
