For the second day in a row, Baghdadi families have been visiting the exhibition since the early hours of the morning.
Qasim Saudi, owner of Dar Misbah for children’s books, in an interview with “Lamda Al-Mada” said: Certainly, the Iraqi book tree bloomed today through the activities of the Iraq International Book Fair in its first session, The extraordinary session being the second world exhibition to be held in the time of Corona, The first exhibition is the Sharjah International Exhibition which was under the title The World Reads from Sharjah, I think now that the world loves Baghdad and this is very important, We leaflets lamps for children’s book, This is our first participation in the exhibition. Qasim adds that there is a beautiful childish passion on our wing and the rest of the wings, There was an Iraqi smile on everyone’s faces. But the presence of children added a great aesthetic character to the exhibition. Qassem stressed that the turnout is very good for the second day of the exhibition’s activities, especially with the presence of Iraqi families taking their children to the exhibition.
He also says that today marks the anniversary of Victory Day, and coincides with the day of the victory of the book, and this is a very beautiful thing that man triumphs in the spirit of the book.The exhibition is a big wedding and a window for everyone is a small planet that Baghdad launches to the world.
Mowaffaq Hafez, the head of the Syrian Dar al-Hafez, which specializes in children’s books, told Al-Mada: This is not our first participation in Iraqi book fairs, But this session of the Iraq Exhibition is organizationally distinguished and the turnout is more than wonderful during the first and second days, especially as families take their children to participate and buy books. Mowaffaq adds that this exhibition is a break in the barrier of the Corona crisis, Especially that the organizing committee focused wonderfully and distinctively on the prevention of the virus through sterilization and the distribution of masks to visitors. Mohamed Abdel Qader, one of the visitors to the exhibition, spoke to Al-Mada, saying: Not only did I attend the exhibition alone, but I was determined to take my children to open the door for them to see and open new horizons because the book is the best for the individual who tries to educate himself. Mohammed adds that it is my duty as a father to put my children on the path of knowledge and culture and I have not found a better way than the Iraq exhibition as a way to help them in this matter. For his part, Abbas Khammas said: In fact a word or sentence on a page of a book changes human life for the better, So I try to instill a love of reading in my children, So they are with me today to visit the exhibition.
Abbas adds that the shortest way to raise children in a correct way is to urge them to read and read from a young age. I always try to suggest to my children new book titles, And then I sit down with them to see what this book has added to them.
Abbas asserts to the “range”: The Iraq International Book Fair is an opportunity and a beautiful space for the return of life to normal and breaking the barrier set by the Corona virus,
Watching Iraqi families take their children to visit the exhibition is the biggest achievement, he added.
